Grammy-nominated rap king Olamide has once again shown why he’s not just a hitmaker but a beacon for emerging African talent. On June 19, 2025, he dropped his much-anticipated self-titled album Olamidé, a 17-track powerhouse featuring heavyweights like Wizkid, Asake, Seyi Vibez, Dr. Dre, and Popcaan. But one name in the lineup has everyone buzzing for all the right reasons, Fadi.
Fadi, a promising Nigerian-born, Nigérienne singer-songwriter, is making waves far beyond her roots. Born in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital and raised partly in Niger, she moved to the United States in 2011, honing her craft from poetic verses to heartfelt songs.
She released her first single in 2019 after going viral with song covers, and in her own words: “I mixed it myself. It was trash. But it went number one in my country. So, I kept dropping!”

Now, her persistence has paid off in a big way. Fadi lands on Track 14 titled Paris, holding her own alongside some of the biggest names in the game. Overwhelmed with gratitude, she posted: “Baddo big bro! Super grateful for you and this opportunity. Niger & I thank you. Check me out on Track 14 ‘Paris’ from Olamidé.”
Her story is one of resilience and raw talent, a young woman who turned poems into songs, pushing boundaries for Niger’s music scene while proudly flying the African flag.

Olamide’s decision to spotlight Fadi speaks volumes about his commitment to not only Nigerian talent but also to strengthening musical bridges with neighboring Niger. His album pulses with Afrobeats, rap, and global flavors, but it’s moments like this, elevating new voices like Fadi’s—that truly set him apart.
With Paris already winning hearts, Fadi’s star is only just beginning to rise and Africa, united in rhythm and roots, is dancing along.
