Held Aug. 11–16 at Ikengbuwa Primary School, the programme brought together youths aged 13–17 for a tailored curriculum on climate change, its local impacts, and practical solutions. Activities included field visits to mangrove ecosystems, a community climate campaign at the ancient island of Ode-Itsekiri, waste-to-art sessions, a climate art wall unveiling, and competitions testing research and presentation skills.

“For the past five days, the Climate Action Summer Boot Camp has brought together children from across the Kingdom to learn, experience, and lead on climate action,” Olori Atuwase said at the closing event. She noted an initial awareness gap—90% of participants had never heard the term ‘climate action’ before the camp—adding that the result underscores the urgency of continued outreach.
