It was Afrobeats on the main stage and Edo babe energy in the VIP lounge.
Los Angeles-based entertainment journalist Obehi Imarenezor proved she knows how to work a festival weekend, stepping out in a show-stopping animal print look to celebrate Davido‘s historic Coachella debut at an exclusive Martell brunch in California.

The media powerhouse, who shares her life and style with her followers as @obehiangela, posted a carousel of pictures from the desert that had fans talking for two reasons: the fashion and the famous company.
The Look
Obehi did not come to blend in. In a series of solo shots taken in front of Coachella’s iconic seven-story Spectra rainbow tower, with the festival Ferris wheel spinning in the background, she wore a daring leopard-print two-piece. The bandeau-style bralette top featured a plunging keyhole and criss-cross halter straps, connected by a long silver body chain with a large vintage medallion that dropped to her navel.

She paired it with a matching high-waisted maxi skirt with a thigh-high zebra-print slit, a Black cowboy hat with a silver concho, stacked black beaded bracelets, and a blue MARTELL VIP wristband. In one image, she poses hands-on-hips and beaming, in another she flips her long wavy hair over her shoulder, and in a third she throws an arm in the air, pure Coachella joy.
The money shot came last. Standing in front of a navy backdrop that read “MARTELL x DAVIDO BRUNCH: A Toast to AFROBEATS,” Obehi posed shoulder to shoulder with OBO himself. She carried a tiny silver croc mini bag, while Davido kept it cool in a white Louis Vuitton tee, beige chinos, a tan baseball cap and layers of diamond chains, holding a Martell cocktail.
“Africa to the World”
Obehi captioned the dump with a love letter to the moment:
“Celebrating @davido’s Coachella debut with Afrobeats on a global stage — exactly where it belongs. I had the chance to chat with OBO about the journey. When it first clicked, he was a global star and had a partnership with Coachella. It will always be Africa to the World! Thank you, @martellusa, for hosting such a memorable Coachella weekend. Obehi x OBOChella.”

It is a full-circle moment for the Nigerian US-based journalist. A proud Edo babe and University of Missouri-Columbia Convergence Journalism graduate, Obehi has built a career at the intersection of culture and digital, writing for VIBE, running social for BuzzFeed, and most recently turning heads in May 2025 when she hosted E! News coverage at the Met Gala in a custom Ankara power suit.

Now based in LA, she specialises in content strategy for major film, music and fashion brands, and has become a go-to voice for authentic Black storytelling on global stages.
With Davido making his debut on one of music’s biggest stages and Martell toasting to Afrobeats, Obehi made sure the Nigerian media presence was just as fashionable as the performance.
Africa to the World, indeed, and this time it came with a cowboy hat and leopard print.
