Nigeria’s trio stun the world stage at BRICS beauty pageant opening ceremony in Russia

Nigeria’s three delegates made a powerful impression at the opening ceremony of the BRICS 2026 International Beauty Pageant on March 1, marking the nation’s first participation since becoming an official BRICS partner country.

Held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the event runs through March 8, with the grand finale scheduled for March 7, ahead of International Women’s Day. The pageant’s theme, “Beauty with a Purpose,” fosters social and humanitarian dialogue among 17 participating nations.

Mrs. BRICS Nigeria, Gladys Gimbiya Ade-Zaky, a Kaduna-born artist and women’s advocate, champions cultural diplomacy and married women’s leadership roles.

Miss BRICS Nigeria, Blessing Oro-ekwu Ihuaenyi, a 24-year-old University of Port Harcourt graduate and former Face of D’Luxe 2024, arrived with a mission to showcase “Naija fire”.

Little Miss BRICS Nigeria, 11-year-old Isabel Dike, a former Teen and Little Miss Humanitarian Nigeria, promotes youth empowerment and cultural exchange.
