The Country Man, known as the pioneer of the “Afro-Country” genre, will take the main stage on Saturday, July 25.

His signature sound—a fusion of traditional American country music with African rhythms, percussion, and Pidgin English lyrics—has made him a uniquely compelling figure in a music landscape dominated by Afrobeats.

Born and raised in Nigeria, he built his reputation blending acoustic guitars, harmonicas, and country twang with distinctly African storytelling. His lyrics explore love, resilience, daily struggles, and heritage, all delivered with a cowboy aesthetic complete with stetson hats, boots, and western shirts that make him instantly recognisable.

The festival brings together an international roster alongside The Country Man, including artists from the United States and Kenya’s top local country icons like Sir Elvis.
