Blessing Oro-ekwu Ihuaenyi, a 24-year-old model and communications graduate, has departed for Russia to represent Nigeria at the Miss BRICS international pageant.

The former Face of D’Luxe 2024 winner was seen at the airport on February 25, 2026, ready to compete on the global stage.

Ihuaenyi, who holds a degree in Linguistics and Communication from the University of Port Harcourt, is no stranger to the spotlight, having been named “Beauty Queen of the Year” at the 2025 Port Harcourt Awards. She travels to Russia with a clear mission to represent her country’s culture and values.

In a social media post before her departure, she wrote, “Suitcase full of confidence, heart full of Naija fire! Off to Russia to represent, inspire, and dazzle. The world isn’t ready!”

Her participation comes as Nigeria strengthens its ties with the BRICS bloc, having joined as a partner country in 2024.

The pageant serves as a cultural platform for member nations, and Ihuaenyi follows in the footsteps of other Nigerian models who have used Russian-based platforms for advocacy and representation.

With her combination of intellect and “Naija fire,” Ihuaenyi is set to make a powerful impression at the Miss BRICS competition.
