Nigeria’s Acting High Commissioner to Rwanda, Ambassador Ibrahim Zanna, on Wednesday received popular Nigerian comedian Forever ahead of his headline show in Kigali.
The comedian, whose real name is Akuidolo Orevaoghene, visited the High Commission on 29 July 2026. His performance, “Thank God It’s Funny,” is scheduled for Friday, 31 July, at Kigali Universe.
In a statement after the courtesy call, the High Commission commended the growing visibility of Nigerian entertainers abroad. “The Acting High Commissioner noted the important role of entertainment in fostering cultural exchange and strengthening the people-to-people ties between Nigeria and Rwanda,” the statement read.
The mission urged Nigerians resident in Rwanda to attend the event in large numbers. “As @forevercfr prepares to take the stage in Kigali, we encourage Nigerians living in Rwanda to come out and support one of our own,” it said. “Let’s proudly celebrate Nigerian talent, share some laughter and demonstrate the unity and strength of our community.”
The High Commission extended best wishes for a successful and memorable performance. Ticket outlets and show organisers have not yet released capacity figures for the Kigali Universe venue.
Forever is expected to arrive at the venue for sound checks and rehearsals on Friday afternoon.
