Omokehinde Omotoyosi Adeeko, the reigning Teen Universe Nigeria 2026, will unfortunately not be participating in the upcoming 15th edition of the international Miss Teen Universe competition due to an unforeseen academic conflict.

The 17-year-old leader, who is an undergraduate student of Mass Communication at Lagos State University (LASU), has prioritised her educational commitments.

The Miss Teen Universe Nigeria Organisation announced an official press release, explaining that a sudden postponement of Adeeko’s core university examinations has resulted in a direct scheduling clash with the international pageant. “Despite our best efforts to seek special consideration and permission from the relevant school authorities, approval could not be granted,” the statement read.

As a multifaceted emerging model with interests in singing, reading, and fashion styling, Adeeko represents a new generation of Nigerian excellence.

The organisation expressed its full support for her decision, emphasising that her dedication to her studies is a testament to the values they aim to promote. “As an organisation that strongly upholds the importance of education and the holistic development of young women, we fully respect and support this decision,” the press release continued. “Academic responsibility remains a top priority, and we are proud of our queen’s commitment to her educational journey.”

While expressing gratitude for the immense support from the public and sponsors, the organisation has indicated that further announcements regarding its next steps will be made in the near future.

For now, the focus remains on supporting Adeeko as she completes her academic obligations.
