Nigerian beauty queen and women’s advocate Gladys Gimbiya Ade-Zaky has arrived in Tatarstan to represent Nigeria at the Mrs BRICS 2026 international pageant, scheduled from March 1 to 8 at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center.

The Kaduna-born advocate shared her arrival on social media, marking the beginning of her journey at the “Beauty with a Purpose” competition. She joins two other Nigerian delegates: Blessing Ihuaenyi in the Miss BRICS category and 11-year-old Isabel Dike in the Little Miss BRICS category. Dike, a previous winner of Teen and Little Miss Humanitarian Nigeria, has also arrived with grace and purpose.

Ade-Zaky’s participation holds diplomatic significance as Nigeria, which attained BRICS partner country status in early 2025, utilises cultural diplomacy to strengthen ties with member nations.

Her platform emphasises women’s empowerment, leadership roles for married women, and promoting cultural exchange.

The week-long event includes a business forum and charity gala, culminating in a grand finale on International Women’s Day. Ade-Zaky is among the first delegates to land in Kazan, often called Russia’s “Third Capital.”
