Mister International Nigeria 2026, Abure Ebosetale, departed Nigeria on Friday, 4 September 2026, for Bangkok, Thailand, where he will represent the country at the 18th edition of the Mister International pageant.
His journey includes a stopover in Doha, Qatar, and over 16 hours of travel.
The Misters of Nigeria Organisation confirmed the departure in an official statement. “Today, Abure Ebosetale begins his journey to Thailand as Nigeria’s representative to the Mister International World Finals. With a stopover in Doha, Qatar, and over 16 hours of travel ahead, Abure departs carrying the hopes, support, and pride of a nation,” the organisation stated.
In keeping with the Misters of Nigeria tradition, he will arrive one week ahead of the official competition to focus on final training, acclimatisation and preparation.
“The months of planning are over. The journey has begun,” the statement added.
This year’s event marks the 20th anniversary of the Mister International pageant. Abure is aiming to maintain Nigeria’s strong momentum following Samuel Nwajagu’s historic win in 2024 and to secure the country’s third consecutive Top 5 placement.
The preliminary and national costume rounds will take place on Thursday, 24 September 2026. The grand finale will be held on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at MCC Hall, The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi in Bangkok.

Abure, originally crowned as the first-ever Mister Edo State, is an architect, model, artist and humanitarian. He founded Project Next Gen, an advocacy initiative focused on expanding educational opportunities and providing technology access for underprivileged Nigerian children. He is also preparing to launch his debut book, NEXT GEN.
The organisation called on Nigerians to support him. “Join us in wishing Abure a safe journey as he proudly flies the Nigerian flag on the international stage,” the statement read.
