The prominent Bayelsa politician and public servant has been a vocal supporter of Soye, who originally represented Bayelsa State during the national pageant before winning the Miss World Nigeria crown.

Soye has already secured an automatic spot in the Top 40 quarterfinals after winning the historic title of Africa’s Top Model.

Azaiki has used his platform to rally support for the Nigerian queen. He has urged the Nigerian Embassy in Vietnam to mobilise the local diaspora community with flags and banners to cheer Soye during the live event.

He has also consistently shared voting links, videos, and highlight clips celebrating her performances, including her talent finals appearance and her Top Model victory.

The Miss World grand finale is scheduled for Saturday, 5 September 2026.

Soye enters the final phase as one of the strongest African contenders, with voting and audience support expected to play a key role in the final placement.
