The pair’s visit marks a powerful Children’s Day initiative, shining a light on their joint project to renovate the Makoko floating school, a beacon for underserved communities in Lagos. It’s more than a photo-op; it’s an act of service with real impact, touching the dreams of girls and boys who see hope reflected in their presence.

Raimi, who is currently representing Nigeria at the 2025 Miss World pageant in India, shared her heartfelt remarks: “Hope Floats—And So Does Purpose. I had the honor of joining Mister Global Nigeria, Favour Ogbuokiri, on his incredible Makoko Dream Project, where we helped renovate the iconic floating school in one of Lagos’ most underserved communities. As part of my Omoluabi Renaissance initiative which advocates for the care and dignity of motherless and vulnerable children, this experience was deeply personal. Seeing the joy in the eyes of little girls who dream of becoming someone like me one day reminded me why I wear this crown: not for glamour, but to serve.

This process taught me that true beauty is found in compassion, and leadership means lifting others even when the ground is water. To every child we met: you are seen, you are loved, and your dreams are valid. Happy Children’s Day—today and every day, may your laughter echo louder than your struggles.”
