Reigning Miss Ideal Nigeria, Angel Emeka, has officially departed for Egypt to represent Nigeria at the 32nd Top Model of the World competition, bringing full pageant pride, a silver crown, and the green-white-green flag to the international stage.

The 19-year-old model, tourism student, and recent Nollywood debutante was captured at the airport in two striking departure shots that radiate celebratory energy and poised confidence.

In the first image, Angel beams joyfully in a sleek black romper, a dramatic shaggy faux-fur coat, and knee-high patent boots. She raises the Nigerian flag high above her head like a cape, her forest-green “MISS IDEAL NIGERIA” sash worn proudly across her torso. Travellers and airport staff bustle behind her, but the moment belongs entirely to her — a proud Nigerian girl waving her flag before takeoff.

Another photo is more editorial: crown on, hand on hip, one knee lifted. Her custom-wrapped suitcase features her own face with “TOP MODEL OF THE WORLD NIGERIA” text, and the Nigerian flag drapes over it. Her expression is model-serious, mission clear.

“This is for every young girl and woman who dares to dream! With pride, I will be raising the national flag high in Egypt as Nigeria’s delegate for the @wbotopmodel 2026,” Angel wrote. “To everyone who came out to support and see me off at the airport, I say thank you. I am Queen Emeka Angel …and this is only the beginning.”

The competition features 40 international models and runs from May 24 to the grand finale on June 8 at The V Luxury Resort in Sahl Hasheesh, Hurghada.

Angel aims to succeed Colombia’s Natalia Garizabal and bring the global crown home.

The House of Twitch national pageant organisation hosted her send-off dinner ahead of departure. Nigeria watches and cheers.
