Three years of waiting, praying and building the dream team. And now, Delta State’s own Christobelle Uzogheli says she is finally ready to take her crown – not by her own strength, but by divine conviction.

The law student, former MBGN Top Model and founder of the Christobelle Foundation is one of the fiercest contenders for the Miss World Nigeria 2026 crown. And just weeks before camp kicks off, she has set social media ablaze with a showstopping shoot that screams pure disco‑glam royalty.

LIQUID METAL AND DIVINE TIMING

In a custom piece by Lagos‑based luxury brand Nelo Woman (founder Chinelo Nzelu), Uzogheli turned a marble staircase into her personal runway. The dress is an icy silver‑blue metallic micro‑mini built from four stacked tiers of beaded fringe that catches light like liquid mercury. A halter neck with a criss‑cross corset bodice, sheer sides and a gradient from silver to seafoam teal – it’s flapper‑meets‑Afro‑fusion, made for movement.

She paired it with silver caged heels, crystal teardrop earrings and a sleek high ponytail. Glowwithlilian delivered her signature melanin‑rich soft glam (think sharp wing, glossy nude lip, oiled skin that gleams), while Lamishair gave her that melt‑in‑lace ponytail. The result? A woman who looks red‑carpet ready without trying too hard.

‘I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL I WAS CONVINCED’

But the real story is what Christobelle shared in her caption – a raw, faith‑filled testimony.

“Three years ago, when I decided to take this step again, I didn’t know how, and I didn’t know what year it would be,” she wrote. “All I knew was, at the right time, God would put it in my heart as a conviction.”

She explained that she refused to rush. “Because I understand the importance of walking in alignment with God, I had to wait till I was convinced.”

So she waited. She built the best team. Last year, after watching Miss World 2025, she felt the certainty. She picked up the form, moved back to Nigeria and has been preparing ever since.

“Now it’s finally happening. Camp in about three weeks, and in about a month, it happens.”

‘GOD IS THE ONE WHO CHOOSES WHOM HE’LL CROWN’

Uzogheli, who is representing Delta State with a “Beauty with a Purpose” project focused on healthcare for vulnerable children, made it clear she is walking this path with humility.

“I’m walking this journey again, this time, more prepared, more determined, more intentional and most importantly, I’m walking this path with God. Because no matter how much I’m prepared or how much I’ve invested in this, that’s still not the determining factor. God is the one who chooses whom He’ll crown.”

She concluded with a line that has already gone viral among pageant fans: “While I do my best, with every atom of humility in me, I’m holding on to God like an infant to its mother. With all hope and trust in Him.”
