Mercy Babajide, the pride of Nigeria, has made the nation beam with pride after clinching a Top 20 finish at the prestigious Miss Aura International 2025. Though the dream of breaking into the Top 11 remains on hold, Mercy’s journey is one for the history books—marked by resilience, poise, and a heart that never gave up.
In a show of recognition for her impact and grace, Miss Ekiti at the Exquisite Queen Nigeria World for Miss Aura Nigeria was honored with the special title of Miss Aura Peace Ambassador—first of its kind—a testament to her unwavering spirit and her ability to radiate unity and positivity throughout the pageant. Her journey mirrors that of Joy Oranezi (@joy_oranezi ), who also reached the Top 20 last year, signaling Nigeria’s growing presence on the global pageantry map.
While Miss Philippines, Krishan Pauline Alerre, was crowned Miss Aura 2025 and Romania, Czech Republic, Thailand, and Kyrgyzstan rounded out the top five, Nigeria stood tall in the spirit of peace, representation, and sisterhood.
Babajide’s climb from a challenging start to the Top 20, against all odds, has inspired a new generation. She wore the green-white-green sash with dignity and showed the world the beauty and strength of the Nigerian woman. The NAIJA TV crew joins millions in congratulating Mercy for representing Nigeria with a full heart and in grand style as the new Miss Aura Peace Ambassador.
Naija to the world—next year, we break the Top 20 huddles. For now, #MercyBabajide is our queen of peace, resilience, and true Nigerian pride.
