Move over, Grande Dame. On the Season 10 premiere of The Real Housewives of Potomac, the franchise welcomed its first actual royal.

Introducing Tia Glover (Atinuke Abraham), a London-born, Nigerian princess who is quickly becoming a standout in the group for her unique blend of elegance, sharp wit, and grounded perspective.

“I’m from London, but my family is part of the royal family in Nigeria,” Glover revealed in a confessional. “I am a princess. Where is my tiara?” she joked before adding, “No, I’m joking.” Her introduction signalled a new kind of sophistication to the Potomac circle.

Her regal poise was shaped by a unique upbringing. Sent to a UK boarding school at age eight, she often felt like she “stood out like a sore thumb” among girls from different backgrounds, an experience that taught her resilience and the importance of self-worth from a young age.

This foundation gave her the confidence to build a successful career first as a celebrity stylist and then as a high-powered global real estate advisor for TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, a transition she made after the pandemic shifted her priorities.

Beyond the professional titles and royal lineage, Glover is a “hands-on” mother to four children, a role she prioritises above all. She brings the same energy to motherhood that she does to the Potomac social scene, advocating fiercely for her children and ensuring they know she is present—a lesson she credits to her own mother.

Despite entering a group with established feuds, Glover has navigated the waters with grace and humour. Fellow newcomer Keiarna Stewart described her as “such a sweetie” and mused, “Tia is maybe the new Switzerland,” a nod to her peacemaking abilities. She demonstrated this skill early on, expertly defusing a heated argument at a party by suggesting a practical resolution so everyone could “have a good time together.”

Reflecting on her whirlwind entry into reality TV, Glover admits she initially felt pressure to be “perfect” for the cameras but quickly learned to let that go.

She’s aware of her own quirkiness but has been embraced by the cast, even when she had to “shut something down” with an OG Housewife.
