Ibom Entertainment Week 2025 wraps up with culture, glamour, and celebration in Akwa Ibom

The curtains have fallen on Ibom Entertainment Week 2025, a three-day cultural showcase that brought together entertainers, creatives, and enthusiasts in a celebration of art, talent, and community spirit. Held from September 11 to 13, the event reaffirmed Akwa Ibom’s place as a rising hub in Nigeria’s entertainment and tourism map.

The festival opened on Thursday, September 11, with a Master Class at the Council for Arts & Culture, where industry experts mentored upcoming talents on branding, creativity, and entrepreneurship. The session drew a packed audience of aspiring musicians, actors, and content creators eager to sharpen their craft.

On Friday, September 12, the energy shifted to sports and recognition. A lively Novelty Match at Afaha Offot Primary School set the tone for the day, attracting fans and community members in a spirited show of teamwork and entertainment. Later that evening, the spotlight moved to the Flairmore Event Center, where the DGN Awards Dinner & Face of Entertainment showcase honored outstanding figures in Nigeria’s entertainment scene, blending glamour with inspiration.

The finale on Saturday, September 13, was the highlight of the week. The ARISE City Walk, flagged off from Ibom Hall, saw hundreds of residents and guests take to the streets in a colorful display of unity and wellness. The celebrations climaxed at the Happy Hour Concert at Water Fountain, Nwaniba Road, where electrifying performances lit up the night, drawing massive crowds and leaving the city buzzing with excitement.

Speaking after the event, organizers praised the turnout and the growing influence of Ibom Entertainment Week, noting its alignment with Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda in boosting youth empowerment, tourism, and creative entrepreneurship.

With thousands in attendance across three days, Ibom Entertainment Week 2025 has not only lived up to expectations but also set the tone for even bigger editions in the years ahead.
