Nigeria’s Super Model of West Africa titleholder (1991), Fumi Desalu-Vold, publicly supported the Nigerian authorities for denying entry to SeneGambian-American influencer Swaggy Mo (Mohamet Mbaye) in December 2025 due to his lack of a valid visa, praising their strict enforcement of immigration laws.

The 56-year-old Nigerian-Gambian commended Nigerian immigration officials for being proactive and adhering to protocol, stating that anyone arriving without a proper visa should indeed be denied entry.

She explicitly gave “kudos” to the country for upholding its border security measures, emphasising that proper documentation is a standard requirement for international travel that must be respected.

Swaggy Mo was denied entry and subsequently deported after arriving in Nigeria for a friend’s wedding without a fully processed visa. He claimed he was told his visa would be handled on arrival, but faced issues due to a reported system failure. While he expressed frustration with the “dehumanising” experience, Fumi’s commentary focused on the necessity of following legal entry procedures. #naijatv
