Burna Boy, known for his global appeal and respect for cultural icons, posted Sidhu’s picture on his page with a deep message:
“It’s been 3 years and it Still doesn’t feel Real, That’s how you know LEGENDS NEVER DIE. LIVE FOREVER SIDHU MOOSEWALA.”

Sidhu Moose Wala, who was gunned down on May 29, 2022, in a chilling daylight hit that rocked the music world, remains immortal in the hearts of millions across continents. To call him just a rapper would be an understatement; Moose Wala was a movement. He rose to mainstream fame with his smash hit “So High” and, in 2018, made history as the first #Punjabi and Indian singer to grace the Wireless Festival stage. His debut album PBX 1 reached No. 66 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, and hits like “47” and “Mera Na” stormed the UK Singles Chart.

Despite controversy over his gun-glorifying lyrics and multiple legal skirmishes, Moose Wala’s lyrical prowess and street cred couldn’t be denied. In 2020, The Guardian named him among 50 artists to watch, and he racked up four Brit Asia TV Music Awards before his untimely death.

His murder was claimed by Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, as part of a violent inter-gang rivalry, but the streets—and legends like Burna—refuse to forget. Sidhu’s posthumous single “SYL” dropped weeks after his passing, sending his legend into overtime.
