Sonia Amako has received her first award in Nigeria, and it came from home. The BBNaija Season 10 star was inducted into the Kaduna Political Awards Hall of Fame as a Humanitarian.
“What makes this recognition even more special is that this is my very first award in Nigeria, and it is coming from my beloved Kaduna State,” she said.
She didn’t treat it as a career milestone. She treated it as a responsibility. “Kaduna is home. It is where my roots are, where my story matters.”
As a daughter of Southern Kaduna, she said she carries her people, their culture, and their hopes with her wherever she goes. The award, she added, is “a reminder that every little effort to make a difference, give back to society, inspire young girls, and contribute to the growth of our dear state matters.”
She thanked Kaduna Political Affairs for the honour and pledged more work ahead. “This is only the beginning, and I pray that God gives me the grace to do even more for my people and humanity.”
Her parents weren’t in the room, but she felt them. “Although you couldn’t be physically present, I felt your love and presence with me every step of the way.”
