The journey to bring home the coveted Miss Earth crown officially began as Divine Nelson, Miss Earth Nigeria 2025, departed for Manila, Philippines.
The 22-year-old pilot-in-training and computer science graduate from Akwa Ibom State, who was crowned on July 20, 2025, at the Palacio Event Centre in Port Harcourt, is set to proudly represent Nigeria at the global pageant, where she will champion environmental advocacy on the international stage.

Nelson’s departure marks the culmination of months of intense preparation and the start of rigorous camp activities leading up to the grand finale. The excitement from her organizers is palpable, with a clear message to the nation: “Nigeria to the world, Manila awaits.”
