The Akwa Ibom State Government has confirmed that the 4th edition of Ibom Entertainment Week will take place from September 11 to 15, 2024, with the theme “Arise, Elevate Your Dreams.”
The annual celebration, designed to spotlight creativity and nurture local talent, is expected to draw thousands of entertainers, industry stakeholders, and culture enthusiasts from within and outside the state.
Speaking on the upcoming edition, David Sergeant (popularly known as Utang Akwa Ibom), Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment, described the initiative as a hub for inspiration and collaboration. “Ibom Entertainment Week is a celebration of talent, creativity, and innovation. We are committed to creating a platform where our entertainers can showcase their skills and engage meaningfully with industry leaders,” he said.
This year’s lineup includes a colorful street parade, interactive masterclasses, live music concerts, and guided tours, blending education with entertainment.
The event also reflects the support of Governor Pastor Umo Eno, whose sponsorship aligns with the ARISE Agenda, a development plan promoting youth empowerment, talent incubation, and growth in the state’s creative and tourism industries.
Organizers have assured the public that the 2024 edition will be the most exciting yet. “Get ready to join us for an unforgettable experience,” Sergeant added.
