Nollywood star Adunni Ade has scored a powerful legal victory in her relentless quest to defend her name and reputation. On June 24, 2025, the High Court of Lagos State, presided over by Justice I.O. The case, LD/17781MFHR/2024, challenged a sensational January 2023 article titled “Six Popular Nigerian Actresses Who Have Been Accused of Dating Dino Melaye.” Adunni Ade argued the story was false, invasive, and offensive, violating her constitutional right to privacy and portraying her in false light. The court agreed, ordering the platform to remove her name and photos from the story and pay ₦20 million as general damages.

Adunni Ade, who has long warned against online smear campaigns, celebrated the verdict: “I won my case — Adunni Ade vs. Polance Media Limited. A false story was published about me, but truth stood tall. This judgment reaffirms that privacy matters, and so does integrity. Justice delayed isn’t justice denied. Many thanks to my lawyer, Olumide Babalola LP. Two cases won, more to go.”
