In the run-up to the ABUSRC Carnival 2025, President of the Ahmadu Bello University Students’ Representative Council (ABUSRC), Comr. Nazeer Ibrahim Kallah, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Art, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.
Kallah presented the carnival’s inaugural festival magazine, themed “Honoring the Past and Uniting the Future,” highlighting the cultural diversity of ABU’s student body. Discussions focused on boosting national and international visibility for the event and aligning with the ministry’s efforts to elevate student-led cultural showcases.
According to the council, the ministry expressed readiness to collaborate in raising the carnival to a recognized standard as ABU prepares for the Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Renaissance Festival ’25.
The ABU delegation included Mr. Musa, Senior Special Assistant II to the Vice-Chancellor, and Comr. Aliyu Sani, Personal Private Secretary to the ABUSRC President.
The ABUSRC Carnival 2025 is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, to Sunday, August 17, on the main campus in Zaria.
