Tems is proving her influence goes far beyond the charts.
The Grammy-winning Nigerian singer-songwriter has officially launched Leading Vibe Initiative, a visionary mentorship program aimed at equipping young women with the tools, access, and industry knowledge needed to break into and thrive in the music business.
The initiative kicks off with a two-day seminar in Lagos on August 8th and 9th, targeting 15 to 20 selected participants. Designed as a crash course in creativity and career-building, the program includes hands-on training in songwriting and music production, studio sessions, panel discussions with top industry figures, and tutorials covering everything from publishing to branding.
“This is about creating space for young women to find their voices and reshape the future of music,” Tems shared. “We’re not just opening doors — we’re building the house.”
Participants won’t walk away empty-handed. Each will receive production software, mentorship, and essential resources to jumpstart their journey. Applications are open now, with a deadline set for July 13th.
A lineup of mentors and speakers to be revealed soon, promises to bring firepower to the program. And this is only the beginning. The initiative is set to expand to other African cities, scaling its reach and deepening its impact.
Tems, whose genre-blending sound has redefined modern Afrobeats, continues to make waves on and off stage. With two Grammy wins, multiple Billboard Hot 100 hits, and an ownership stake in San Diego FC, she embodies the fusion of art, power, and purpose.
Aspiring participants are encouraged to apply here by the July 13th deadline, seizing this unparalleled opportunity to be mentored by a trailblazer and shape the future of African music.
