Lifestyle creator Amanda Hamilton and DJ Shannon took over Lagos this week, pairing brand collaborations with a career milestone.
Amanda’s trip centred on her partnership with Beauty In The Motherland, a major exhibition celebrating African beauty, skincare and wellness culture. She documented the trip for her more than 120,000 followers, showing off Lagos “outside” culture and bridging her Jamaican heritage with the city’s energy.

Shannon’s First International Set
For Shannon (@badgyalshanshan), the trip marked her first international DJ performance. She played two of Lagos’s popular luxury nightlife and beach venues.
She headlined the “Party With Sunshine” Sunday event alongside local DJs @djxfoe and @djtohbahd. Koko Beach, known for its coastline, palm trees and ocean-view pool, hosted the set. Videos from the event showed a packed crowd.
A Personal Tribute
The performances landed on the anniversary of Shannon’s mother’s passing. She shared a note with fans explaining that music and dancing were how she and her late mother bonded.

Bringing her DJ talents to Lagos allowed her to turn a period of grief into a tribute, sharing that inherited energy with a new audience.
