Midé Oni has gone nuclear on Burna Boy‘s team. The Nigerian UK-based presenter released a podcast rant after an incident at Lagos’ Makoko Beach Club during 2025 Detty December, where she says Burna’s camp demanded she delete footage because the singer didn’t want to appear in the background.
“First of all, did I know that Burna Boy was here?” she fired. “I paid my own money to be here. You can’t dictate to me what environment I should be taking a video of.”
She insisted he was tucked away in a private upstairs room. “He wasn’t in the video.”
Then she turned personal. “He has that type of bravado where it’s like nobody can talk to me… It’s very ugly,” she said. “He has this energy of ‘I’m the King of Kings.’ No, you’re not. Jesus Christ is Lord.”
Her caption doubled down: “Burna Boy! Nobody is above the Lord! You still have time to repent for your sins!”

Some observers read the release as strategy rather than conviction—a rant video that gets her name in the same sentence as one of Africa’s biggest stars.
Burna Boy’s camp has not responded.
