Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr has arrived in Seychelles, where she was received at the State House by President Patrick Herminie on Saturday, ahead of her headline performance at the island nation’s 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations.

The Grammy-nominated singer will take the stage at Stad Popiler in Victoria on Sunday, June 29, for a concert that serves as the centrepiece of Seychelles’ Golden Jubilee festivities.
The show kicks off at 7:00 PM, with general admission offered free to the public and VIP tickets priced at SCR 2,000.
Ayra Starr will perform alongside a live band and a supporting lineup of prominent local acts, including Pusso, Taniah, Keartsea, and Juliah.
During the courtesy call, President Herminie welcomed the Nigerian superstar and thanked her for contributing to the nation’s milestone celebration of culture and international friendship.
Ayra Starr, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm Seychellois hospitality and praised the country’s breathtaking natural beauty.

The historic concert underscores Seychelles’ commitment to blending its rich local culture with contemporary global sounds as it marks five decades of independence.
Her appearance adds another high-profile international booking to a year that has already seen her grace major stages across Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
