Ashleigh Gonde, representing Australia, was officially crowned Miss Culture International 2026 at the pageant’s 4th edition held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Zimbabwean-born beauty queen triumphed over a competitive international field to claim the prestigious title, succeeding the outgoing winner and securing a powerful moment for diaspora representation.

Gonde, a 26-year-old registered nurse based in Melbourne, Victoria, has called Australia home for nearly a decade. With clinical experience in intensive care and palliative units, she brings an uncommon blend of compassion and resilience to the crown. Beyond healthcare, she is the founder of skincare brand Vinci Valour and the mentorship platform Oblisqué, underscoring an entrepreneurial spirit that impressed judges.
Her advocacy initiative, Through Her Lens, amplifies the stories of multicultural women — a platform that aligns seamlessly with the Miss Culture International mission of celebrating cross-continental heritage. Gonde’s own identity as a Zimbabwean-Australian deeply informed her pageant narrative, which focused on afro-diasporic pride and empowering youth across cultural lines.
Throughout the competition, which began with quarantine and preliminary events at the end of May, Gonde consistently impressed. She placed in the Top 3 for the Sashing Ceremony and cracked the Top 5 in the Top Model segment, building momentum into the coronation night.
The full court of Miss Culture International 2026 stands as follows: First Runner-Up is Leanna Kaylee Manuel of the Philippines; Second Runner-Up is Ajeng Nidya of Indonesia; Third Runner-Up is Sinumiki of Canada; and Fourth Runner-Up is Pyae Pyae Win Kyaw of Myanmar.
Gonde’s victory marks a significant milestone for Australia at the international pageant and celebrates the power of blended identity.
