Nigerian superstar Asake has announced his “In God We Trust Tour,” a 13-date world tour in support of his recently released fourth studio album, “M$ney,” which dropped May 1. Special guest DJ Uncle Waffles will join the tour on North American dates.
The tour kicks off with a headlining set at Afro Nation in Portimão, Portugal, on July 4, before hitting arenas across North America and Europe, wrapping at the Accor Arena in Paris on October 24.
Asake, a two-time Grammy nominee, will perform at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center after selling out Madison Square Garden in August 2024. “This tour will bring the themes of ‘M$ney’ to life. It’s a reflection of everything the album represents, from gratitude to growth,” Asake said. “For some of the North American shows, I’ll be joined by special guest Uncle Waffles, who adds another layer of energy and culture.”
Uncle Waffles, widely regarded as the face of mainstream amapiano, released her sophomore EP, “4 Da Streets,” on May 8. “There’s a mutual respect between Asake and me because we both understand what it takes to bring our sounds to international stages,” she said.
The tour includes stops in Chicago, Toronto, Laval, Brooklyn, Lowell, Columbia, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, London, and Paris.
Artist presale begins May 27, with public on-sale starting May 29. Asake’s last North American outing was the sold-out Red Bull Symphonic concert.
