For most, the AMVCA red carpet is a destination. For Angel Emeka, it was a departure lounge. The reigning Miss Ideal Nigeria 2025, who leaves for Egypt on May 24 to represent Nigeria at the 32nd Top Model of the World in Hurghada, used the 2026 AMVCA as her unofficial send‑off – and Port Harcourt’s finest made sure she looked international‑ready.

Photographed by Johnnyflows against a warm, earthy backdrop, Angel’s gown – titled Black Coral – was a custom creation by Tice Grandiose (@ticegrandiose_), the PH‑based demi‑couture house that won the Port Harcourt Fashion Week Future Designer Showcase in 2023.
The gown – liquid vinyl meets Niger Delta heritage
The silhouette is high‑shine black patent vinyl, moulded into a mermaid shape with an extreme cinched waist and sculpted hips, finished with a matte black satin train that pools like oil. The off‑the‑shoulder Bardot neckline extends into sharp, wing‑like shoulder plates, each edge encrusted with 3D butterflies in black, gold, white and burnt orange.

But the centrepiece is the halter‑style coral neckpiece that rises from bust to throat – hundreds of tiny red coral beads, gold beads, and more Black‑and‑gold butterflies climbing her chest like a reef. It’s a direct nod to the Niger Delta’s cherished coral beads, reimagined for global pageantry.
PH glam squad
Styled by Lawrence Victor Otu (@styleme_rence), makeup by Beautiique delivered flawless bridal glam – luminous skin, gold cut‑crease, glossy nude lip. Hair by Style by Naaa was a vintage finger‑wave bob, a 1920s siren contrast to the futuristic vinyl. Red coral drop earrings, one gold ring, and crystal‑tipped white nails completed the armour.
Angel stood hands clasped – queen pose, full train, every butterfly in place. She took a bow before flying to Egypt.
