Legendary Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), celebrating a career that has defined African cinema for decades.
The award was presented during the star‑studded ceremony on May 9, 2026, at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos. Known for his powerful screen presence, Kanayo O. Kanayo has delivered unforgettable performances in classics such as Living in Bondage, Lionheart, October 1, and Across the Niger, as well as his beloved role in the sitcom Professor Johnbull.
