From Hit-Making Producer to Global Star

Young Jonn, born John Saviours Udomboso in Ibadan, Nigeria, began his career as one of Afrobeats’ most sought-after producers. Known as “The Wicked Producer,” he crafted hits for industry giants including Davido, Olamide, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, and Kizz Daniel before transitioning to a solo artist. His production credits include Olamide’s “Bobo,” Davido’s “Biggest Backside,” and Lil Kesh’s “Gbese,” earning him Producer of the Year honours at The Headies 2016 and Soundcity MVP Awards.

Chart-Topping Hits and Streaming Milestones

Young Jonn’s transition to performing artist began in 2022 with the release of “Dada,” followed by a remix featuring Davido that cemented his place in the spotlight. He has since amassed over 600 million streams across platforms since his first solo release in March 2022.

His breakthrough hit “Aquafina” (2023) has accumulated over 74.9 million Spotify streams, while “Sharpally” surpassed 30 million streams. “2Factor,” his collaboration with Asake and Focalistic from the “Blue Disco” album, has racked up over 208 million streams and charted across Apple Music, Spotify, and Shazam.

His debut EP, “Love Is Not Enough Vol. 1” (2022) and its follow-up, Vol. 2, introduced fans to his signature blend of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and contemporary pop. His debut album, “Jiggy Forever,” followed in 2024, while “Blue Disco” — his most ambitious project, recorded between LA and Lagos — features collaborations with Wizkid, Asake, and Focalistic.
