The Tiwa Savage Music Foundation has announced a record-breaking turnout for the inaugural Berklee in Nigeria intensive program, with over 2,000 applications submitted for just 100 available spots.
The four-day program, which brings Berklee College of Music’s renowned teaching methodology to Lagos, represents the first-ever Berklee on the Road initiative in Nigeria.
The overwhelming response underscores the depth of musical talent across the region and the influence of the partnership with the Tiwa Savage Foundation.
“Applications are now closed. Over 2,000+ submissions for the Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Music Foundation Programme—a record-breaking first for Berklee on the Road,” the foundation announced. “Shortlisted candidates will be contacted soon.”
The highly selective intensive will feature daily workshops in performance, songwriting, production, and music business, culminating in a live showcase where participants perform original work.
Artistic advisor Tiwa Savage and Berklee faculty will provide direct mentorship throughout the tuition-free program, though participants must cover their own travel, housing, and meals.
Shortlisted applicants will be notified via email in the coming weeks.
