Nigeria’s colors fluttered boldly through the halls of the airport as Miss Cosmo Nigeria 2025, Tofunmi Adekola, embarked on her journey to Vietnam to represent the Giant of Africa at the inaugural Miss Cosmo pageant. Crown on her head, sash across her chest, and the Nigerian flag sweeping behind her like a modern-day heroine, the 22-year-old queen radiated confidence and destiny in motion.
In the photos she shared from strutting elegantly through the terminal with the flag cascading around her, to settling gracefully into her flight in full regalia, Tofunmi personifies the spirit of a young woman stepping fully into a long-nurtured dream.
“It’s always been a dream to represent my country, Nigeria, on the international stage, and that dream is coming true,” she wrote. “How God plants little thoughts in our minds… and with sheer determination, they become reality.”
A final-year Communications student, beauty and commercial model, and digital marketer, Adekola, was crowned in October by the Exquisite Queen Nigeria World organization. But her journey to Vietnam has been defined by service.
Before her departure, she partnered with Smile Train Africa at LUTH, spreading hope to children with clefts. “Courage wears the most beautiful smile,” she said during the visit, celebrating “every smile restored, every dream rekindled.”
Earlier in November, she joined creatives at Lagos Fashion Week, praising designers and dreamers “keeping our Nigerian culture alive through fashion.”

Rooted in advocacy, she founded the Couples and Kids Social Initiative, championing awareness for Sickle Cell Disorder. Her leadership journey includes certification from Harvard Business School and training at the Citizenship and Leadership Training Sea School in Apapa.
In a symbolic pilgrimage, she traveled to her ancestral home in Oyo State, receiving royal blessings from His Royal Majesty Ọba Sunday Ọládàpọ̀ Oyèdòkun Lágbàmí Ọ̀ṣẹ́kùn III, the Òǹpetu of Ìjẹ̀rù Kingdom. “Culture crowns us with identity,” she reflected. “Tradition clothes us with pride.”
The Miss Cosmo 2025 finale, billed as a spectacular “Beauty & Music Festival,” is set for December 20, 2025, at the Creative Park in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As Tofunmi Adekola steps onto that global stage, she does so as a symbol of Nigerian excellence.
