Nigeria Celebrates Excellence As The Beatz Awards 2025 Crowns Industry’s Finest
The Nigerian music industry glowed with brilliance last night as The Beatz Awards 2025 unveiled a new roster of champions, honoring the producers, engineers, DJs, creatives, and industry powerhouses who shaped the soundscape of the past year. In a ceremony that blended youthful vibrance with industry prestige, winners emerged across more than 25 fiercely competitive categories.
The night belonged to the sonic architects—the men and women behind the boards—whose creativity continues to push Afrobeats beyond borders. Among the biggest wins, Mr Soul clinched Afro Pop Producer of the Year for Spyro’s “Sweet,” while Aykbeats scored two major victories, including Afro Beat Producer of the Year and Afro Soul Producer of the Year.
Niphkeys, one of the year’s most consistent hitmakers, also dominated with wins in Producer of the Year and Afro Hip-Hop Producer of the Year.
In the highlife lane, Blaise Beatz took home a major plaque for “Angelina,” while Deeyasso’s emotional production on Kizz Daniel’s “To Be A Man” secured the Afro Dancehall Producer of the Year category.
Engineering excellence was spotlighted as Millamix won Mixing & Mastering Engineer of the Year, and visual storytelling received its flowers with Director Pink taking home Music Video Director of the Year for Davido’s “10 Kilo.”
History was written in the DJ categories: Uncle Bubu was crowned Male DJ of the Year, and DJ Michelle earned the Female DJ honor, marking a celebratory moment for young talents redefining Nigeria’s nightlife and radio culture.
Media and corporate contributors also shone. TVC won Entertainment TV Station (Terrestrial), Popcental picked up the Cable category, BellaNaija earned Blog of the Year, and Max FM Lagos claimed Radio Station of the Year.
On the management side, Elizabeth Sobowale, representing Adekunle Gold, clinched Artist Manager of the Year, while Mavin Records secured the coveted Record Label of the Year.
In A&R, the award went to Ekunwe Vaeder O., further cementing his impact on talent development and music curation across the continent.
The Beatz Awards once again spotlighted the geniuses behind the scenes, reminding audiences that every hit song carries a village of visionaries making magic possible.
