His body was recovered by emergency rescue teams on June 26 from the rubble of the collapsed Arichuna Residences in the Los Corales neighbourhood of La Guaira.
He had been visiting a friend at the residential building when the structure gave way during the powerful 7.5 and 7.2 magnitude twin earthquakes.
Teixeira was initially reported missing before responders located his body underneath the debris two days later. The young titleholder, who had recently been crowned in his home state of La Guaira, was known for his charisma, dedication to his community, and passion for representing Venezuelan youth on the national stage.
